PE and Sports Premium

The Education Funding Agency provides additional funding to each school every academic year to improve provision of Physical Education (PE) and Sport in primary schools. This is known as Sports Premium.

With this money we develop our PE curriculum and promote a healthy lifestyle for our children. Already, using last year’s funding we have raised the profile of P.E. across the school and are now participating in more sporting events locally. In order to continue to secure a healthy future for our pupils we intend to spend some of this year’s funding on:

• Curriculum development and additional staff training
• Outdoor apparatus and updated resources
• Implementing zoned activities at lunchtime and training for lunchtime supervisors
• Developing partnerships with local schools
