GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

School Collection

Merstham Primary School collection procedures

• School finishes at 3.30pm (3.00pm for Nursery) and children should be collected by a known adult at their classroom door on the playground, unless they are staying for an after-school club

• Where a person other than the child's parent or carer is collecting a child from school, school must be informed in advance. Teachers will not release a child to go with an unknown adult or to another parent without this advance notification

• Parents and carers can collect children who have attended an after school club at the specified time (usually 4.15pm) from the school entrance arranged by the club leader

 • Only children in Year 5 and Year 6 are allowed to walk home alone once school has received written consent

• All children will only be released to an adult

• Children being collected during the school day must be collected from and returned to the school office. The school must receive prior notification. The children will be signed out and signed back in again. When coming to the school office parents and carers must use the marked footpaths to and from the school gates and should not interact with any children on the playground
