Welcome to Our Nursery

Starting in our nursery marks the beginning of an exciting journey at Merstham Primary School! Our well-established nursery is a valued part of the local community, offering funded places for children from the age of 2.

From the moment your child joins us, our dedicated nursery team works tirelessly to ensure they feel settled, develop their interests, make friends, and experience the joy of learning. Each day, our goal is for your child to leave with a smile! The foundation we lay in nursery is essential to fostering a love of learning and preparing your child for a successful start in Reception.

Our nursery operates during term time, with start and finish times designed to align with the school day, making it convenient for parents with children in both nursery and the main school.

The nursery is an integral part of Merstham Primary School, overseen by our Early Years Lead, Miss Thatcher, and led by Ms. Cannon, our Nursery Leader. Full details of the support staff team can be found here. 

We provide a safe, nurturing environment where children can explore both vibrant indoor and outdoor areas. Through play-based learning, we encourage children to develop their skills and independence.

We regularly host nursery open mornings to welcome new parents and showcase our facilities. If there isn’t an open morning scheduled, our school office team will happily arrange a convenient time for you to visit. We encourage all prospective parents to come and meet our wonderful nursery staff and see what makes our setting special.
